Foreign Office, July 25, 1910. I AM directed by Secretary Sir Edward Grey to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 12th instant regarding the measures which are thought necessary for the assertion of British claims on the Pien Ma section of the Sino-Burmese frontier, and to inform you that Sir E. Grey concurs generally in the views therein expressed.
I am to enclose a copy of a telegram which has been addressed to His Majesty's. chargé d'affaires at Peking on the subject.*
